Toby Suttle, M. Ed., CIC, CLCS, CAWC

Commercial Agent

Toby is a commercial insurance risk advisor specializing in risk management who works almost exclusively with contractors.

At Elliott Insurance Group, he helps contractors turn their insurance program into a strategic advantage. That starts by uncovering hidden exposures, tightening risk management, and—most importantly—telling a clear, compelling story to underwriters and bonding partners that positions the business for better outcomes.

Toby is in the field—early mornings, on job sites, and embedded in statewide construction networks. He understands how contractors operate, which allows him to give advice that holds up in the real world—not just on paper.

His approach is simple: align insurance with where the business is going. Whether it’s increasing bonding capacity, improving margins, or supporting controlled growth, he helps business owners make better decisions around risk—decisions that directly impact cash flow, assets, profitability, and their people.

He’s known for cutting through complexity, challenging the status quo, thinking outside the box, and building long-term partnerships with clients who expect more from their advisor. He believes his work is a calling, and that shows up in how he advises clients, builds relationships, and helps business owners make better decisions around risk.
